Iata ca am ajuns sa imi postez si eu istoria interviului.
Din pacate e in limba engleza din lipsa de timp.
Noi ama vut interviul in america si deci nu stiu cui ii foloseste aceasta informatie, dar pentru oprice eventualitate.
Nota AOS- Adjustment of status- Operatia birocratica prin care un posesor de viza temporara primeste drepturi de Permanent reziden.
Aceleasi cu cei care trec cu suces interviul la ambasada din romania.

I am happy to share with you my AOS successful story. - Got NL in last summer.
- After intensive reading I chose AOS instead of CP even though I am in status.
- Sent back the forms to KCC indicating AOS.
- Sent payment to Dept of State for DV processing.
- Verify with local 1BCIS Office when can I apply for AOS. I was told Oct 1st.
- Oct 2nd: first attempt. Rejected because the # is not current.
- Oct 6th: second attempt with copy of 90 day memorandum rule, and visa bulletin showing that my # will become current in November. The same officer accepted our case.
- Nov 12: received 2 letters. One for fingeprints appointment on Dec 10th, and one for AOS interview appointment for today, Dec 19th.
- Dec 10th: went for fingeprints. No delay, smooth and fast process.
- Dec 11th: confirmed with FBI that the fingerprints results were sent to BCIS.
- Dec 19th: Went to the interview. The same officer that rejected, and then accepted our case, asked us the following questions not necessarily in this order: My wife: When is your husband's DOB. Where was he born. What is you husband's mother's first name When did you come here in the us On what visa Do you work (My wife came on H4 and switched to F1) - Tricky question. Do you have family here Were you in status all the time
Myself: When did you get married( three yrs ago) Do you work. What do you work When did you come in the us Do you have any family here
Other documents requested: Original NL 2 pictures- They lost the previous ones.
After 20 minutes he stamped our passports and told us that starting today we are permanent residents.
Note: Apparently they only have the last records, so if you are in status now, that's all that matters. I was on J1 and then switched to H1b, but he didn't ask the waiver or anything.
Note: As it turned out, the AOS was better for us. No flight no hassle, no huge worries. An most of all we were here , and even if rejected we were still here. In the day of the interview we were able to go back to work, We'll celebrate later tonight.
Cogratulations to the local BCIS office which handled our case really fast.
There was another couple at the interview, they didn't have their # current, and their FBI clearance yet, so they had their passports stamped with different stamp and told to wait, until # is current.

Felicitari, Danver!
Se pare ca pentru voi a fost mult mai usor decat pentru cei cu DV2003 (eu fiind una dintre ei). Noua ni s-a spus ca am trecut interviul, insa nu ne-au pus nici o stampila in pasaport. Au zis sa asteptam sa ne faca FBI clearance-ul si dupa aceea...
Oricum, am reusit sa obtinem rezidenta doar cu 6 zile inainte de deadline, si asta pentru ca am apelat la un congressman.

Tu ai avut viza J1, si ai aplicat pt waiver si apoi ai avut H4, si in timpul aceasta ti-a venit castigul?
