Default Lucruri mai putin cunoscute despre New England

Inauguram acum noul subforum pentru Noua Anglie. Din intamplare am dat in aceasta seara peste aceasta fotografie, care indica faptul ca in Senatul SUA exista o persoana de rit greco-ortodox (numele Olympia putea sa-mi dea de gandit):

Fiindca respectivul era nationalist albanez, preotul grec i-a refuzat inmormantarea crestineasca. Pacatuise de iubire de popor ne-grec. Dar A Treia Roma deja facea jocurile in Balcani.
Multumita tupeului unui popa grec din Boston, avem o tzara in plus in Europa.

In Boston exista si biserici ortodoxe ale bisericii autocefale americane.

Default De pe facebook- Romani in Boston

Roland Crista

Hello my Romanian friends! Hope everyone is doing great! This is my first post here - and must say, wish is was a different circumstance - however, now we'll see the power of facebook/community.

Two days ago, I was shopping at Walmart in Wareham and came upon a man, woman, and two children looking for money on the corner. On my way out, I walked over to give them some money. The man spoke VERY broken English, and when I asked where they were from, heard the woman say - Romania, but in the native tongue. I started speaking with them - and found out it was a Father, his daughter and her two young children. They cam by way of Mexico - neither are working. By trade he's an excavator - not sure about her.

They're staying at the motel 6 - I imagine nearby in Wareham area....

I've never really done fund-raising outside of giving my time, so I'm not sure if this is even the right venue to ask for resources. What I am asking for, is a little help even through advice, or if anyone would also like to reach out directly. His name is Giavanni, never got last name, but have a phone number...

If anyone here would like to give a donation, or even more so, can help them with more permanent resources, or connections, that would be great! I will be postiong the same email on my LinkedIn as well.

My parents immigrated when I was nine months old, so out of the blue meeting these people, I feel I should at least send out a message to a wider population who can relate. Codrin - it's been a while since we've last spoken - any advice/direction greatly appreciated.

For the next four days, I'll be traveling and won't really be able to access computer - but will try. I thank you all in advance for any help, advice or other.

Very best,
Roland Crista

Mi-as dori sa pot ajuta aceasta familie. Va rog, haideti sa incercam sa-i ajutam!
